WorkShield™ Laminate Surfaces
WorkShield™ is a revolutionary new laminate finish that offers truly affordable durability for wood-based home storage products. WorkShield™ laminates are completely resin-based. Conventional storage laminates, including Melamine or low pressure laminate, are paper-based materials with a resin topcoat. WorkShield™ is 100% resin-based, with no paper substrate. One of Melamine laminates key strengths has always been resistance to staining from key household substances. Ditto for the WorkShield™ laminate, as it was found to have excellent stain resistance to common household products, including: distilled water, ethyl alcohol, household ammonia, citric acid, vegetable oil, coffee, tea, ketchup, mustard, and #2 lead pencil. All of these substances were applied and allowed to stand on the surface for 24 hours before removal was attempted. The classic tests of physical durability for any laminated surface involve wear and mar resistance. Both of these tests demonstrated WorkShield's innate toughness.
